Service Description

Have you always wanted to take your little wild one out to explore the forest but maybe haven't felt sure about what to pack, what to look out for or even where to go? Forest School with Ms. Patty will help ease you and your young wild one(s) into feeling more comfortable while exploring the forests of Indianapolis! Ages 3-7 are welcome to join! (if you have a 2 year old who you think would love this, don't hesitate to sign up!) **All Forest School lessons will last between 1.5 -2 hours **Parents must stay and learn with their young wild one(s) for the entirety of the session. **Cold drinks for parents (coffee, tea, natural energy drinks) + light snacks will be provided for littles. **You will be asked to pack your own additional snacks, H20, sunscreen and bug spray in a small backpack to carry during the hike. **We will Hike about 1 mile total, stopping to identify different plants and animals when the opportunity arises. **We will plan to stop at a creek for children to dip their feet / body in for about a half hour during our session. Please bring additional clothes for your child to change into in case they get wet/muddy! **Additional packing list, information about the lesson and a liability waiver will be sent to you in an email upon sign up! Please see the Forest School dates + curriculum: All classes will take place at Eagle's Crest or Scott Staling Nature Preserve from 9:30 - 11:30am! •June 27: What a fungi! (Identifying different types of mushrooms!)westside of Eagle Creek reservoir) *July 1:How do we survive in a storm? + Identifying plants! >>>Stay safe during storms (identifying clouds + knowing how close a thunderstorm is and what to do if caught outside in a storm). *July 18: Can I eat this Identifying edible and non-edible plants of Indiana! *July 25: Leave No Trace! Learning how to no leave a trace in the Forest so we can help to preserve if forever! Forest School is $25/child per session! (no pets allowed at Forest School!) I have worked for various organizations such as Outward Bound, The Boys and Girls Club, and within IPS. Cancellation Policy

To cancel, please contact me directly in no less than 7 days before an event at patty@projectreteach.com For all multi-day trips, please give 90 day notice for cancellation. Anything canceled in less than 90 days cannot be refunded. All deposits are non-refundable. All outdoor experiences/yoga classes with Project Reteach are substance-free and will not be permitted de to the remoteness of these events. Failure to follow any rules or suggestions provided by the outdoor professional guides may result in your removal from the experience due to concerns for the individual's safety.
